Retired police detective and sergeant, forensic genetic genealogist, investigator, law-enforcement instructor, and court-qualified police-practices expert — and the creator of the HELIX Method™.
I approach forensic genetic genealogy as an investigation because that is what it is.
Christine is a retired police detective and sergeant with over 25 years of investigative experience. In 2017, a DNA test revealed that her biological identity was not what she had believed. After hiring experts who advised her to wait for stronger matches, she applied investigative techniques and identified her biological family herself.
That experience revealed how powerful genetic genealogy could be when applied with investigative logic to police cases. Christine now works with law-enforcement agencies to help them evaluate cold cases, develop DNA strategies, and apply forensic genetic genealogy effectively. She is the creator of the HELIX Method™, a structured investigative framework designed to help agencies move stalled cases forward.
Christine is named as the instructor for an agency training course listed by the Northern Illinois Training Advisory Board (NITAB), “Genetic Genealogy for Law Enforcement.”
Christine has been a wonderful resource — extremely knowledgeable, with past law-enforcement experience that helps steer cases in the right direction. She has saved agencies time and money and solved a case in 48 hours using genetic genealogy.
